Is Success
Guaranteed?
I was asked recently if someone followed the advice you see in these newsletters all the time would
financial success be guaranteed? My response was, no. Success is no more guaranteed in life than is
failure. We have often seen people begin to follow a suggested program for success in some area of
their lives, find it is not working, get discouraged and quit. Then they complain the formula they
were given was a fraud and that success eludes them.
The formula for most success is rather simple, but that does not make it easy. This is what
confuses and confounds many people. They assume that if something is relatively simple it must be
easy. This is a dangerous assumption.
We know that financial success can occur if one applies the fundamental disciplines that
financially successful people apply. These chiefly include careful planning, applied creativity,
hard work, strong and consistent self discipline, frequent evaluation and adjustment where needed
and tremendous persistence even in the light of prolonged frustration or "failure". We know that
thousands, perhaps millions of people have become successful and even rich using this relatively
simple but difficult formula.
And, people have applied these skills and habits and have failed. This is the nature of life.
No matter what we do, there is always the chance for failure. The important thing, the critical
thing, is what you do with that failure. If you let it discourage you I guarantee you that you will
fail. If you use apparent "failures" to learn what not to do and what to do and make the necessary
adjustments then the chance of ultimate success continues to grow.
No, success is not guaranteed. Nor is failure. What can be guaranteed is that failing to try and
failing to persist will not lead to success. Conversely, the more you try and the more you persist
the more likely you will succeed.
Wishing you success and
prosperity,
Daniel R. Murphy

Million Dollar
Habits by Brian Tracy
By Ben Sanderson
Brian Tracy has
been one of the country's leading speakers on the topics of human potential and our own personal
effectiveness. He speaks with plentiful words of inspiration and determination. As a speaker, he is
entertaining and has a gift to inform his listeners and to motivate them into action. Every year he
will speak to almost a half million people including those executives from large major
organizations. His most recent project is his book, Million Dollar Habits.
In the Million
Dollar Habits, he shares with the reader secrets that he has found over the years. It is a plan
both in life and in building a career. He starts off by stating that if you do the things that
successful people do, you will also be successful with the same results they have achieved. He says
that as usual, it all boils down to the habits that people have. He firmly believes that people are
not successful because of the daily habits that they have and make for themselves. He tells you
that they can be changed and relearned.
In the book, Brian
Tracy sets it up step by step, making it very clear what needs to be done. In the book, Million
Dollar Habits, he gives his seven step program detailing how to make new habits for yourself. At
the top of the list is a commitment for self discipline to follow through with this plan for
success. He says the change will not be immediate but you will see some new positives in as little
as two or three weeks. He points out that it is not complicated to make new
habits.
In Million Dollar
Habits, many helpful topics will be discussed but probably the most frustrating part that you will
have to do is to follow up and stick with learning those new habits each day. One of the greatest
tools that he provides for you is that he will summarize each of his chapters and gives a list of
the steps you will need to take in order to master these. He is not all talk either, as he often
will offer a quote from a well known psychologist in order to reinforce his own
statements.
Brian Tracy's name
is now synonymous with the strategies and techniques for the greatest success in your new or
existing business and the management as well. His book, Million Dollar Habits can show you how to
unlock your own path for self development in as little as fourteen days. Brian Tracy is a highly
respected coach. People go out of their way to travel in order to hear him speak in person. You do
not have to wait until you can restructure your schedule in order to go and see him. You will have
his voice at your fingertips in the form of his newest book or audio tapes. He is also the chairman
of his own company, Brian Tracy International. Not bad for a high school drop out whose first job
was as a day laborer.

Wealth Magnet by Dr Dolf De Roos
By
Ben Sanderson
Wealth Magnet was inspired and written by popular author, Dr. Dolf de Roos. In this book, you'll
discover how to build your own wealth, as well as the secret what's been preventing you thus far.
You'll uncover the hidden truth about how getting rich is all in the way you think. Dr. Dolf de
Roos has accomplished many profound achievements in his lifetime. He was handpicked to serve as an
adviser for Trump University, and has successfully written five bestselling property books. His
wealth is a result of his own personal experiences, and in this book, he hopes to share with you
just how you can become as successful as him, in half the time.
This book explains that it is not in whom you are, but rather your psychology that is preventing
you from becoming wealthy. All wealthy people have a similar way of thinking. They tend to view
things in the same manner. It's very likely that you already possess this way of thinking but are
not yet aware of it. Perhaps you don't, and would like to. Wealth Magnet will teach you how to
adopt a new way of thinking that will help you to become extremely rich - richer than you've ever
imagined possible.
One of the lessons this book teaches is the difference between abundance mentality and scarcity
mentality. You've probably been living a world of financial heartache. Like so many others, you
most likely find yourself stressed, frazzled, and worried on a constant basis as to how you're
going to make it to "next week". If so, your mentality must change. If one area of your life is
miserable, it's sure to spill over into others. Wealth Magnet by Dr. Dolf de Roos teaches you how
to adopt the abundance mentality and begin applying it right
away.
You'll also discover how you can utilize your new "millionaire mindset" and put your thoughts into
action. This book will help you to escape from your current rut of simply waking up and going about
your usual, boring, daily routine, and help you get to a place where you are living out your soul
purpose. It will help to remove the negative belief that "money is the route of all evil", as well
as "money can't buy happiness".
Obviously, if you don't believe that money can make you happy - or at least solve a few of the
problems that are making you miserable - chances are you'll never have enough. Wealth Magnet by Dr.
Dolf de Roos stomps out false beliefs and helps you to look at achieving wealth in a newer, better
way that will reap results in a short amount of time. You won't have to spend the rest of your life
trying to figure out what it is you want to do because this book will show you
how.
It also discusses the difference between good and bad debt, and how you can use debt to your
advantage. Along the journey of reading this book, you'll also discover how you can effectively
utilize all your funds so that you avoid falling into debt even further. Once you become aware of
how you should be thinking rather than the way you've been taught to think, you'll be able to
accomplish all of your wealth wishes.
Wealth Magnet by Dr. Dolf de Roos helps you to create wealth in all areas of your life. Money is
obviously not the only thing a person needs to feel secure. You won't have to worry about wasting
all your precious time on the job away from your family and friends just to earn the wealth you
desire. This book teaches you how to obtain wealth in the form of money, relationships, as well as
helps you to love yourself. It serves as the perfect guide to wealth and helps you to discover your
true path to happiness and achievement.

John Wooden's Pyramid of Success
By
Juergen Kosel
A successful coach, a dedicated husband, and faithful Christian; these good character qualities
have made John Robert Wooden (October 14, 1910 - June 04, 2010) a venerated image not just in
basketball but also with life in general. More than being an inspiration to many, quotes by John
Wooden have touched many people's lives.
Starting his career on basketball as a player, Wooden garnered the title of "Wizard of Westwood",
became a three-time basketball All-American, and even enlisted in the Basketball Hall of Fame.
After his active playing profession, he became a coach, handling Indiana State University and UCLA
where he brought historical triumphs to the team and moulded Bill Walton and Kareem Abdul Jabbar to
become NBA's all-time legends.
And one of the legacies Coach John Wooden left to serve inspiration not only to his players and
followers, but also to many people who are still on the verge of finding success, is his Pyramid of
Success which took him 14 years to complete. As he puts it, quoted John Wooden:
"Success if peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your
best to become the best that you are capable of becoming."
The Pyramid of Success features different characteristics that a person must have to achieve his
goal. Such factors are also arranged in its ideal position as Wooden believes that the right focus
on the proper trait serves as a strong foundation that carries the rest of the
aspects.
The 15 habits found in the pyramid are the
following:
For the foundation: industriousness, friendship, loyalty, cooperation, and enthusiasm. He stressed
that the cornerstone for a good foundation means hardwood and enjoying what you are
doing.
2nd level: self-control, alertness, initiative and intentness
3rd level: condition, skill, and team spirit
4th level: poise and confidence
5th level: competitive greatness, where Wooden quote Cervantes, "the road is better than the
inn."
More than the renowned pyramid of success, other
quotes by John Wooden have become an inspiration to many in controlling and winning
the greatest game of all, which is called life. To discover more about John Wooden, his life and

Treasure
the love you receive above all. It will survive long after your good health has vanished. -- Og
Mandino
Be Inspired III by Roger
Thomas Lincoln
She grew up in poverty in South Philadelphia doing
odd jobs to earn money for her family. She tried to enroll in a Philadelphia music school but was
denied not because she lacked talent but because of the color of her skin. She was deeply saddened
and angered by the prejudice she faced because she was black.
She saved every nickel and paid for private singing lessons. She performed in church choirs and
sang anywhere she could find an audience. She was unable to gain any recognition in the United
States and went to Europe to perform. She met promoter Sol Hursh who convinced her to return to the
U.S. Both her promoter and the singer faced continual disappointment as they were turned away in
venue after venue. One person commented, "she has a beautiful voice, too bad she is a negro". The
Daughters of the American Revolution refused to allow her to sing the national anthem in
Constitution Hall because she was black. This enraged first lady Eleanor Roosevelt and she invited
the talented singer to perform at the Lincoln Memorial where over 75,000 people listened to her
sing.
On January 7, 1955 Marian
Anderson became the first black singer to perform with the New York Metropolitan
Opera. She went on to serve as a good will ambassador for the United Nations and won numerous
prices and awards for her work including the UN Peace Prize in 1972 and the Grammy Award for
Lifetime Achievement in 1991.
"As long as you keep a person down, some part of you has to be down there to hold him down, so
it means you cannot soar as you otherwise might". - Marian Anderson
